Push! — yep, that's the actual name. and honestly? couldn't be more accurate.

You're sliding arrow buttons around a grid trying to hit the goal tile. Sounds easy, right? Yeah, I thought so too.

Tap, Push, Think, Repeat

It starts with one tap. That's it. Then suddenly you're fifteen minutes deep wondering where it all went wrong. But the real challenge comes from understanding how each arrow affects the board.

Honestly, before you even tap, you're already running through like three scenarios in your head — direction, color, order — it adds up fast. Seriously, move one thing — just one — and the whole thing unravels in a completely different direction. It sneaks up on you.

  • one tap is literally all it takes to start — which is both the best and worst part
  • Arrow buttons with different directions
  • the colors aren't just decoration — they actually change what you can do, which I did not realize until embarrassingly late
  • grids that start manageable and then quietly stop being that
  • moves that do things you didn't see coming
  • that moment when everything clicks and you feel like a genius

Just When You Think You've Got It, The Next Stage Laughs At You

The first few boards are pretty forgiving — and then out of nowhere it just... isn't anymore. The new boards aren't just bigger — they're the kind where you catch yourself hovering over the screen like, okay, wait, what am I actually doing here.

You'll want to just tap and see what happens — but trust me, that's how you end up restarting three times. One button clears the way, the next one walls you off — and you won't always know which is which until it's too late.

  • the boards get meaner as you go — not unfair mean, more like 'oh. oh no. oh no no no' mean
  • whoever made these levels was definitely laughing while they did it. not in a fun way. in a 'I know exactly what you're about to do and I cannot wait' way.
  • levels where the color, direction, AND where you place things all matter at the same time — yeah, it stacks up
  • some levels where doing things in the wrong order just... ruins everything
  • the destination's never the problem — it's every single step getting there that'll wreck you
  • if you're the type who hates easy wins, this one's for you
Solve the Next Stage

Aim for the Shortest Solution

there's way more here than it looks like at first, and if you're the obsessive type, you'll find plenty to dig into. finishing it feels okay for about thirty seconds. then you're like — how many moves was that? and suddenly that number is all you can think about. that's what keeps you up.. you didn't plan on caring this much. and yet.. Seriously, whatever you had going on tonight? Gone. — and probably your morning too. — don't say I didn't warn you.

You'll tear it all down at least twice. probably more. I'd say I'm sorry but... that's literally the point. shave your moves, climb the board, then absolutely tell someone about it.

  • there's a lot of levels — more than you'll finish in one sitting, probably more than two
  • go back and beat your own score — it's weirdly addictive
  • go back and do it cleaner — you'll know when you haven't
  • Check how your best compares to everyone else's — and try not to feel too bad about it.
  • you'll figure out the right path eventually — the hard part is committing to it without chickening out halfway through and redoing everything
  • leaderboard's basically empty up top. most people don't even try. no pressure though.

You Said Five Minutes. It's Been an Hour.

at some point it got dark outside and I genuinely did not notice. that's on the game, not me. the rules? thirty seconds, tops. actually feeling like you get it? yeah, that's a different conversation. And being genuinely good at it — like, embarrassingly good — that's basically a lifestyle choice at that point. Basically perfect if you're the type who replays a level just to shave off two moves.

I keep telling myself five minutes. I have never once played this for five minutes.
